The Kidde KI-OSCD is an intelligent, addressable multisensor detector that combines optical (photoelectric) smoke sensing with carbon-monoxide life-safety detection in a single head, for use only on control panels with a Kidde Intelligent loop controller. Its onboard microprocessor analyzes the smoke and CO elements independently using dual optical wavelengths and multi-angle particle detection, deciding whether to raise a fire alarm, a CO alarm, or both, while filtering out common nuisance sources.
