The Kidde KIR-HD is an intelligent, addressable fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector for fire alarm systems. It monitors air temperature via a thermistor sensor and automatically analyzes the data to trigger an alarm when the temperature exceeds 135°F or rises faster than 15°F per minute, providing reliable detection for both slow-burning and rapidly developing fires.
