The Kidde KIR-OSD is an intelligent, rotary-addressed optical smoke detector that reports to a Kidde Intelligent Loop control panel over the signaling line circuit (SLC). Dual optical wavelengths and multiple detection angles let its onboard microprocessor tell real smoke apart from steam and cooking particulates, cutting false alarms without sacrificing sensitivity to a real fire.
