The Kidde KIR-PCD is an intelligent photoelectric smoke detector with an integrated carbon monoxide sensor, using multi-criteria optical sensing with dual optical wavelengths and multiple detection angles to tell real smoke apart from common nuisance sources. An onboard microprocessor applies digital filtering to reduce false alarms from things like cooking particulates and steam, and continuous self-diagnostics report maintenance needs back through the panel.
Key Features
- Combined photoelectric smoke and carbon monoxide sensing in one head
- Dual optical wavelength, multi-angle detection with onboard digital filtering to cut nuisance alarms
- Rotary-switch addressing (1-125) with no separate programming tool required
- Continuous self-diagnostics and environmental compensation with maintenance alerting
Technical Specifications
- Dimensions: 4.3 in. diameter x 2.3 in. height
- Operating voltage: 15.2 to 19.95V DC
- Frequency: 10 to 35 Hz
