Mircom MIX‑M500MAP Intelligent Monitor Module (Advanced Protocol)
The Mircom MIX‑M500MAP is an intelligent, addressable monitor module designed for two-wire fire alarm systems. It interfaces with normally open contact devices—such as manual pull stations, supervisory switches, or security contacts—providing fault-tolerant initiating circuits (either 2-wire or 4-wire Style D or Style B) while maintaining compatibility with Mircom’s Advanced Protocol (AP) and legacy CLIP systems.
Key Features:
• Flexible Initiating Input: Supports both 2-wire and 4-wire fault-tolerant circuits for Class B (Style B) or Class A (Style D) dry-contact devices.
• Easy Addressing: Rotary decade switches allow for quick assignment of addresses (01–159 in AP mode, 01–99 in CLIP mode).
• Panel-Controlled LED Indicator: Offers visual status feedback via an LED that is controlled by the control panel.
• Low Power Consumption: Draws approximately 400 µA during normal polling; LED alarm current is about 5 mA.
• Built-In 47 kΩ EOL Resistor: Simplifies circuitry by eliminating the need for external EOL components.
• Wide Environmental Tolerance: Rated for 15–32 VDC operation, functioning properly between 32 °F and 120 °F (0 °C to 49 °C) with 10–93% non-condensing humidity.
• Installation-Friendly: Mounts directly into a standard 4‑inch square electrical box (minimum 2 ⅛″ depth), with optional surface-mount backboxes like SMB500 available.
