Mircom MIX‑M500RAP Intelligent Relay Control Module (Advanced Protocol)
The Mircom MIX‑M500RAP is an intelligent relay control module designed for two-wire fire alarm systems using Mircom’s Advanced Protocol or legacy CLIP protocol. It enables the control panel to activate auxiliary equipment—such as fans, dampers, or control devices—via dry-contact outputs, expanding system versatility without compromising supervision capacity.
Key Features:
• Dual DPDT Relay Outputs: Contains two isolated Form‑C contacts (double-pole, double-throw) for versatile control of auxiliary devices.
• Addressable: Rotary decade switches allow quick assignment: addresses 01–159 for Advanced Protocol (AP) mode, and 01–99 for CLIP mode.
• Panel-Controlled Status LED: Integrated LED indicates module status and is controlled by the fire panel.
• Low Power Consumption: Draws approximately 300 µA during polling (1 communication every 5 seconds); alarm state (LED on) adds about 6.5 mA.
• Wide Voltage & Environmental Range: Operates on 15–32 VDC, and performs reliably between 32 °F and 120 °F (0 °C–49 °C) with up to 93% non-condensing humidity.
• Simple Mounting: Installs easily onto a 4‑inch square electrical box (minimum 2 ⅛″ depth). For non–power-limited wiring, a CB500 barrier is recommended.
• Supports High Device Counts: Compatible with Mircom’s AP system allowing up to 318 devices per SLC circuit; backward-compatible with CLIP systems.
