Napco FWC-FSLC-HEAT Addressable Analog Heat Detector
The Napco FWC-FSLC-HEAT is an addressable analog heat detector designed for use with Napco’s Firewolf Series control panels. It provides reliable heat detection in environments where smoke detectors may not be suitable, such as kitchens, mechanical rooms, or dusty areas.
Key Features:
-
Addressable Analog Detection: Communicates with the fire alarm control panel via the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC), allowing for precise identification and monitoring of individual detectors.
-
Heat Detection: Activates an alarm when the ambient temperature reaches a predetermined threshold, providing early warning of fire conditions.
-
Compatibility: Designed for use with Napco’s Firewolf Series control panels, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
-
Base Requirement: Requires the FWC-FSLC-SMK6B 6-inch base for proper installation and operation.
-
Testing Procedure: To test the detector, use a blow dryer set to its highest heat setting and hold it approximately 12 inches from the detector’s top side inlets. Maintain the hot air flow until the detector’s lights turn red and it goes into alarm. After testing, allow the detector to cool and reset the system.
