The Notifier SIB-2048A is a serial interface board used with Notifier's AM2020/AFP1010 intelligent addressable fire alarm control panels to add external serial communication ports beyond the panel's built-in connections. It carries dual EIA-232 ports (2400 baud, ASCII) for CRT terminals, printers, and other EDP-listed equipment, plus an EIA-485 port (20K baud, ASCII) that links ASC annunciators, AMG audio systems, and Notifier network interface boards over runs of up to 6,000 feet.
