The Potter EOLD is an end-of-line diode/resistor assembly used to supervise releasing circuit solenoids and electric actuators installed in remote locations, per the fire control panel's installation requirements. Wired in at the end of the circuit, its diode and resistor combination lets the panel continuously monitor the circuit for opens, shorts, and grounds while it waits to fire the actuator.
