The Pyro-Chem 550077 Alarm Initiating Switch is a field-mountable microswitch that closes a supervised alarm circuit the instant a Kitchen Knight II, Attendant, or Monarch control head actuates. Rather than relying on the mechanical gas/electric shut-off alone, this switch gives the building's fire alarm or monitoring panel an independent electrical signal that a discharge has occurred, so the event is logged and annunciated even if the shut-off valve itself is on a separate circuit.
