The Pyro-Chem 551736 Blowdown Adaptor Kit is a service tool for Monarch dry chemical cylinders, not a system component that stays installed. Technicians thread it onto the cylinder valve to safely vent residual nitrogen expellant pressure before the valve is removed for rebuilding, recharging, or hydrostatic testing, so the cylinder can be opened without trapped gas pressure behind the valve seat.
