The Rixson 980TRI689 is a Tri-Volt electromagnetic door holder/release designed for floor-mount installation, holding a door open with 25-40 lbs of magnetic force until the fire alarm system commands release. On loss of power or an alarm signal the electromagnet de-energizes, releasing the door to close under its own closer for smoke and fire compartmentation.
