The STI-9705 is a surface-mount wire-guard cage from Safety Technology International's Horn/Strobe/Speaker Damage Stopper series, built to shield a SpectrAlert-style notification appliance from impact and vandalism without blocking its sound or light output. It's formed from 9-gauge steel wire and coated in a corrosion-resistant polyester finish rather than molded polycarbonate, which is what lets it take direct impacts that a plastic cover couldn't.
