The Siemens AD-11P is an air duct monitoring housing designed for sampling and detecting smoke and combustion products in HVAC ducts. The housing draws air samples from the duct system and passes them through a compatible smoke detector (such as FP-11 or HFP-11), enabling automatic shutdown of ductwork and operation of supplementary safety equipment as required by the fire alarm control panel. The integrated LED indicator on the detector flashes in distinct colors (green, yellow, red) to indicate operational status, alarm conditions, and faults.
