The Siemens FDBZ492-PR is an air duct smoke detector housing designed to accommodate compatible Siemens photoelectric smoke detectors for monitoring HVAC duct systems. By detecting smoke within air ducts, it helps prevent the distribution of smoke and combustion products throughout a building, enhancing overall fire safety.

• Integrated Relay Contacts: The FDBZ492-PR supports two sets of Form C alarm contacts, one Form A alarm contact, and one Form C trouble contact. The trouble contact supervises input power presence, detector cover removal, and smoke detector head removal.
• LED Indicators: Equipped with green (power), red (alarm), and yellow (trouble) LEDs visible through the housing cover, providing clear status indications.
• Wide Air Velocity Range: Operates effectively in air duct velocities ranging from 100 to 4,000 feet per minute, ensuring reliable performance across various HVAC system configurations.
• Environmental Tolerance: Functions within a temperature range of 32°F to 120°F (0°C to 49°C) and humidity levels up to 95% non-condensing, making it suitable for diverse environmental conditions.
