The Siemens (Cerberus Pyrotronics) ILP-2 is a plug-in, two-wire addressable photoelectric smoke detector built for Cerberus Pyrotronics MXL and MXLV control panels. A light-emitting diode and photodiode are fixed so that light is normally scattered away from the sensor; smoke entering the field-cleanable, dust-resistant chamber redirects light onto the photodiode to trigger an alarm, while an onboard Motorola microprocessor with EEPROM lets the panel download a pre-defined smoke-hazard profile (office/retail, parking garage, computer room, and others) to tune the detector's response and reject RFI/EMI-driven false alarms.
Key Features
- Addressable, two-wire operation with bi-directional communication to MXL/MXLV panels
- Field-cleanable, dust-resistant photo chamber; electronics shielded and coated against moisture and corrosion
- Panel-selectable smoke-hazard profiles (e.g. office/retail, parking garage, computer room, healthcare)
- Addressed and tested electronically via the Cerberus Pyrotronics SensorLINK FPI-32 programmer, no dip switches or pins
Technical Specifications
- Voltage range: 16-30VDC; current draw: 1.2mA normal, 1.5mA in alarm (typical)
- Operating temperature: 32-100 degrees F (0-38 degrees C) per UL 268/268A; humidity 0-93% RH non-condensing
- Maximum spacing: 30 ft center-to-center (900 sq ft) per NFPA 72 smooth-ceiling guidelines
- Mounts to DB-3S base (twist-lock, screw-clamp terminals); compatible relay base DB-X3RS and audible base ADBI-60
Certifications
- UL and ULC Listed; CSFM and NYMEA approved
