The Siemens (Cerberus Pyrotronics) TRX-2 is an addressable interface module that monitors and supervises a single normally-open or normally-closed switch, used where the application calls for monitoring only and no relay control of external equipment. It's distinct from the TRX-2R, which adds an onboard latching SPDT relay for controlling auxiliary equipment, and the TRX-2D, which occupies two address spaces to monitor two separate switches such as a tamper switch and a waterflow switch together.
