Silent Knight 6815 Signaling Line Circuit Expander

The Silent Knight 6815 is a dedicated signaling line circuit (SLC) expander module engineered to extend addressable device capacity for Honeywell Silent Knight 6820 and 6820EVS intelligent fire alarm control panels (FACPs). This UL-listed, CSFM-approved, FM-approved expansion module uses System Sensor protocol technology to add substantial addressing capability to existing fire detection systems without requiring panel replacement, making it ideal for system expansion, facility renovations, or branch-building growth scenarios.

Addressable Device Capacity: The 6815 provides an additional SLC (Signaling Line Circuit) that can support up to 159 System Sensor (SK) addressable devices and 159 SK intelligent modules per expander unit. Multiple 6815 units can be added in series, allowing administrators to achieve thousands of addressable point capacity while maintaining NFPA 72 compliance and system flexibility. The SLC functionality mirrors the built-in signaling circuit of the 6820/6820EVS panels, ensuring seamless integration and identical operational characteristics.

Physical Design & Installation: The 6815 features compact dimensions of 4.2 inches high by 4.8 inches wide (10.7 x 12.2 cm), weighing only 5.6 ounces (159 grams), enabling flexible mounting configurations. Up to two additional 6815 units can fit within one FACP housing footprint, and the optional 5815RMK mounting kit provides flexible installation for multi-unit, multi-site configurations supporting both fiber optic and copper wiring for extended network topology designs.

Wireless Integration & Certifications: The 6815 supports SWIFT wireless detection through gateway integration (WSK-WGI), enabling hybrid wired-wireless deployments for zones where traditional hardwiring is impractical. This module is UL-listed, CSFM-approved (7165-0559:0500), NFPA 72 fire alarm standards-compliant, and FM-approved, meeting all major underwriter and regulatory requirements across North America. Optional 6860 remote annunciator integration provides advanced control visibility and management capabilities for multi-building campuses and complex facility networks.
