The Silent Knight SD505-HEAT-RC is a reconditioned, addressable fixed-temperature heat detector designed for spaces where smoke detectors would be prone to nuisance alarms -- kitchens, mechanical rooms, and other areas with steam, cooking fumes, or dust. It reports over a digital communication protocol to the panel rather than relying on a purely mechanical trip, and its actual alarm trip point (135°F to 150°F) is set by the fire alarm control panel program rather than fixed in the detector head, giving installers flexibility across applications without stocking multiple temperature-rated models.
