The Simplex 2098-9544 is a conventional ionization smoke detector designed for two-wire initiating device circuits on Simplex fire alarm control panels. Its ionization chamber responds to the fine combustion particles produced by fast-flaming fires, giving early detection for that fire signature across the initiating circuit.
