The Simplex 2098-9649 is a duct detector housing used with compatible smoke detector heads (such as the 4098-9681) to monitor airflow for smoke in HVAC duct systems. Air is sampled through inlet and exhaust tubes so the housing can detect smoke carried through the ductwork before it spreads further through the building.
