The Simplex 4090-9001 Addressable Module, also known as IAM, is a key component in fire alarm systems designed to optimize fire detection and control. This module receives both power and communications through a two-wire MAPNET II or IDNet circuit, ensuring precise location-specific addressability. It monitors individual initiating devices like single station smoke detector alarm contacts or heat detector contacts and can oversee multiple devices at a single location, monitoring normally open dry contacts and wiring integrity all the way to an end-of-line resistor.
