The Simplex 4098-9401 is a direct-connect fixed-temperature heat detector from the 4098 LifeAlarm series, rated to alarm at 135°F (57°C). It uses a fast-response thermistor sensing element to detect when the surrounding air crosses that fixed setpoint, turning its LED indicator on continuously to signal alarm; no separate detector base is required since it connects straight to the circuit.
