The Simplex 4098-9402 combines rate-of-rise and fixed-temperature sensing in one direct-connect heat detector from the 4098 LifeAlarm series, tripping either when the temperature climbs quickly or once it reaches a 135°F (57°C) fixed setpoint, whichever happens first. Like other 4098 direct-connect models it wires straight into the circuit with no separate base, using a thermistor sensing element for fast, consistent response.
