The Simplex 4098-9404 is a direct-connect electronic heat detector that pairs a 200°F (93°C) fixed-temperature element with rate-of-rise detection meeting FM's 15-25°F/min performance window, mounting to a ceiling or wall via an included adapter plate rather than a plug-in base. Wiring runs straight to the detector's terminals, and the higher 200°F setpoint makes it suited to warmer ambient spaces where a 135°F unit would nuisance-trip.
