The Simplex 4098-9613E is a self-restoring electronic heat detector rated for 135°F (57°C) rate-of-rise detection, built to wire into a two-wire initiating device circuit (IDC) rather than the direct-connect terminal style used on other 4098 heat detector models. Its thermistor sensing element resets automatically once the surrounding temperature returns to normal, so the detector doesn't need to be replaced after a rate-of-rise trip.
