The Simplex 4098-9701 is an addressable TrueAlarm photoelectric smoke sensor head that reports continuous analog smoke-chamber data to a compatible Simplex fire alarm control panel rather than a simple alarm/normal signal. This unit is professionally reconditioned before being returned to service.
Key Features:
• Analog Reporting: Continuously reports chamber obscuration values to the panel, enabling drift compensation, pre-alarm thresholds, and intelligent alarm processing that reduces false alarms while preserving early detection.
• Adjustable Sensitivity: Supports seven sensitivity levels, from 0.2% to 3.7% per foot of smoke obscuration, selected and monitored at the control panel.
• 360° Smoke Entry: Sensor head design allows smoke entry from any direction for consistent response to gray or black smoke.
• Insect Screen: Built-in screen helps keep insects out of the smoke sensing chamber to reduce nuisance alarms.
• Panel Compatibility: Compatible with Simplex 4100U, 4010, 4008, 4020, 4210, and 2120 TrueAlarm control panels/CDTs.
