The Simplex 4098-9852 is a beige duct-mounting adapter sized for 10" (254mm) round ductwork, used with Simplex's TrueAlarm in-duct sensor housing system. The in-duct housing installs a TrueAlarm analog photoelectric sensor directly in the HVAC airflow for applications where a sampling-tube duct detector is not appropriate, and the 4098-9852 adapter lets that housing be mounted onto a 10" round duct instead of the housing's standard rectangular or square duct opening.
