Simplex 4100-1313 Flex-50 Amplifier, 70.7V, 3 Class B NACs
The Simplex 4100-1313 is a Flex-50 dual-channel audio amplifier for the 4100ES/4100U emergency voice/alarm communications system, providing 50 W of power-limited 70.7 VRMS output for building-wide speaker notification.
Key Features:
• 50 W Dual-Channel Output: Total output of 50 W, dividable across two channels (e.g. 25 W/25 W or 10 W/40 W) as configured at the fire alarm control panel.
• Self-Backup Design: If one amplifier channel is disabled, its NACs are automatically routed to the remaining channel at full 50 W output, eliminating the need for a separate external backup amplifier.
• Three On-Board Class B Audio NACs: Each rated 0.707 A at 70.7 VRMS, individually routable to either amplifier channel.
• Power Input: Operates from 19-35 VDC supplied by a compatible Expansion Power Supply (XPS), Remote Power Supply (RPS), or System Power Supply (SPS).
• Built-In Backup Tone: An on-board 500 Hz temporal-pattern horn tone provides default signaling if the amplifier loses communication with the audio controller.
• Supervision: Continuously monitors amplifier gain by comparing output to input level; alarm current draw is 5.55 A with continuous horn tone (2.27 A average with temporal pattern) for battery backup sizing.
