The Simplex 4100-5015 is an 8-point Initiating Device Circuit (IDC) zone module wired for Class A operation, used with Simplex 4100ES transponders that communicate back to a host 4100ES fire alarm control panel over Simplex's remote unit interface (RUI) protocol. The transponder's interface module translates the RUI signaling into the same internal communication format the host control panel uses, so the 4100-5015 reports zone activity as if it were mounted directly in the main panel.
Key Features
- Eight independent Class A initiating device circuits on a single module
- Mounts in a 4100ES transponder cabinet rather than the main control panel
- Communicates to the host 4100ES panel via RUI protocol through the transponder interface module
Technical Specifications
- Circuit Count: 8 IDC zones
- Wiring Class: Class A
- Power: Requires a Simplex-approved power supply; copper conductors only
- Compatibility: Simplex 4100ES fire alarm control panels and transponders
Certifications
- Manufactured for use in UL-listed Simplex 4100ES fire alarm systems
