Intelligent interface module for integrating Xtralis VESDA air aspiration smoke detection systems with Simplex 4100ES, 4100U, 4010ES, and legacy 4100/4100+ fire alarm control panels. Provides early warning detection by communicating advanced smoke detection data to the host panel.
Key Features:
• Detection Capacity: Supports monitoring of up to 30 VESDA smoke detectors on a single communications input; includes remote reset, enable, and disable control of individual detectors
• Electrical Specifications: Voltage 18-32 VDC from panel; Current 132 mA; RS-232 communications at 9600 baud with 20-foot maximum cable distance
• Early Warning System: Enables detection of low-level smoke obscuration thresholds, air flow component status, and detector head status for mission-critical and high-value applications
• VESDA Compatibility: Works with LaserPLUS (VLP), LaserSCANNER (VLS), LaserCOMPACT (VLC), and LaserFOCUS (VLF) air aspiration detection systems
• Panel Integration: Pluggable module requiring 2-inch internal rack width (51 mm); reduces addressable communications channel capacity by one per module
• Certification: UL listed to Standard 864; CSFM approved and MEA/NYC acceptable
