The Simplex 49HFV-APPLW is a wall mount, addressable, high-fidelity speaker/visible (S/V) notification appliance for Simplex IDNAC-based fire alarm control units, providing combined audio messaging/tone and strobe notification. This is the appliance only; a matching cover, mounting plate, and surface or weatherproof box are ordered separately.

Key Features:

• High-Fidelity Audio: Extended 200 Hz to 10,000 Hz frequency response for clear voice and tone reproduction, with selectable power taps of 1/4 W, 1/2 W, 1 W, or 2 W at 25 VRMS or 70.7 VRMS.

• Addressable IDNAC Control: Individually powered, addressed, and controlled over a Simplex IDNAC signaling line circuit, separate from the audio NAC; supports T-tapped Class B wiring on both circuits.

• Selectable Candela: Strobe intensity is field-selectable (15, 30, 75, 110, 135, or 185 cd) or can be set to follow the fire alarm control unit's IDNAC candela programming.

• Diagnostics and Supervision: Reports point ID, custom label, appliance type, and candela setting back to the panel; includes magnet-test diagnostics for checkout without opening the housing.

• NFPA 72 Compliant: Meets the 520 Hz low-frequency signal requirement for sleeping areas and ADA installation guidelines.

• Flexible Mounting: Installs on a standard 4-inch square, 2-1/8 inch deep electrical box; separate surface and weatherproof back boxes are available for non-flush installations.
