The Simplex 566-158 is a Serial DACT (Digital Alarm Communications Transmitter) board used with the Simplex 4100 fire alarm control panel, part of the 4100-6052 accessory kit. It gives the 4100 panel its dial-up path to an off-site central monitoring station, so alarm, trouble, and supervisory events on the panel are automatically reported over standard phone lines.
