The System Sensor B224BI is an isolator detector base from the Select Series family, sized to accept a 4-inch detector head while keeping the signaling line circuit (SLC) running through a wiring fault. Instead of a plain plug-in connection, the B224BI monitors the loop and automatically isolates a short circuit to the segment between adjacent isolator bases, then restores the loop once the fault clears - so the rest of the addressable loop stays in service.
