The System Sensor PIBV2 is a supervisory switch that monitors the open position of post indicator valves (PIVs), butterfly valves, and other wall-post or recessed control valves in a fire sprinkler system, so the fire alarm panel reports a supervisory condition the moment someone starts closing a valve that's supposed to stay open. It uses two synchronized SPDT (Form C) switches for 100% simultaneous activation of both the alarm panel and any local bell, and a bi-directional actuator lets it be installed on either rising-stem or falling-flag valve types without needing a different model for each.
Key Features
- Two synchronized SPDT (Form C) switches for simultaneous panel and local bell activation
- Bi-directional actuator works with rising-stem or falling-flag valve installations
- Single-side conduit entrance for a direct electrical pathway
- Tamper-resistant cover screws
