The Thermotech 302-ET-194 is a rate-compensation heat detector rated at 194 degrees F, built around an aluminum outer tube that expands faster than its inner sensing struts as temperature rises. On a rapid temperature rise the outer shell's faster expansion closes the contacts early to compensate for thermal lag, while on a slow rise the contacts close once the ambient reaches the rated temperature; the detector self-restores once temperatures drop back down. Its weatherproof, hermetically sealed construction and hexagonal grip bushing make it suitable for outdoor and exposed mounting.
