The Vesda VHX-0420 is a Modbus Type 3 High Level Interface (HLI) module for VESDA aspirating smoke detection systems, acting as a proxy on the VESDAnet network so a building management system (BMS) or fire alarm control panel (FACP) can read detailed status from every VESDA detector on the network and, where supported, control and configure those devices. It bridges VESDA's proprietary VESDAnet protocol to standard Modbus so third-party monitoring platforms don't need native VESDA support.
