The Vesda VSP-511 is a 15-pin serial programming cable, about 2 meters long, used to connect a handheld programmer or High Level Interface (HLI) to a VESDA VLP or VLS aspirating smoke detector for on-site configuration. It carries RS-232 or RS-485 communication between the programming tool and the detector so a technician can set sensitivity, delays, and other VESDAnet parameters without opening the unit's electronics compartment.
